Better Late Than Never

How is everyone doing on their resolutions?  Me? Not so well.  You can find a list of my resolutions here, but briefly, my goals were to be more organized, work out consistently, eat better, be more involved with work, and blog consistently.  Well, “unfortunately” right after New Years, I went on vacation…to Disney.

While we did do a lot of walking, I would hardly call that working out.  And I certainly wasn’t eating right.  The Cape May Buffet was ah-mazing to the taste buds, but not so ah-mazing for my waistline. While I was there, I also wasn’t working, blogging, or getting organized.  Oops!  So, my new year started today…

I set the alarm early to get up and workout.  Then, when it went off, I went back to bed…oops.  However, when I did finally get up, I made homemade juice to start my day.  A nice blend of cucumber, celery, lemon, apple, and spinach.  It was a little tart, but tasty.

Then it was off to work.  Trying to get organized at work is next to impossible.  Every day I go in with an agenda, but I work on other people’s agendas.  So, I end the day feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, and unaccomplished.  I’m going to have to keep working on that one.

When I came home I made myself some dinner (spaghetti and meatballs).  Not exactly healthy.  And then I poured myself a glass of wine.  Heck!  I had a rough day!  Just when I started to relax though, I began to feel guilty.  So… I put the wine down, put on my workout clothes, and went and reacquainted myself with the elliptical.  I was hoping to get 20 minutes in, but the little dog was less than cooperative.  I did get 15 minutes in though.

I’ve also logged in to MyFitnessPal for 5 days in a row now.  I have been trying to track all of my food and eat better. And, of course, I’m writing this blog.  So, I’m making progress with my resolutions.  Still have lots of work to do though.  Better lat than never.

    Hi! I want to recommend Chia Seeds. They keep you fuller longer and can be added to your smoothies/yogurt and there are a ton of others receipes for them! Enjoy!
