Father’s Day

Happy Father’s Day to my dad, the most wonderful guy I know.  My dad has always supported me in life.  Whether it was track meets, soccer games, law school, careers, or what-have-you, my dad has always shown up and and been my biggest supporter.  Even when he may not have agreed with my choices, he always stood by me.  Even when I ran slow or played a terrible game, he has supported me.  He has always encouraged me and I know (because he has repeatedly told me) that he wants nothing more than to see me succeed at whatever it is I want out of life and he is proud of everything I have done thus far.  I’m one of the lucky girls because my dad tells me every time I talk to him that he loves me and he tells me that he is proud of me.  Some guys aren’t good at communicating, but my dad is.  He has never hesitated to let me know that he supports me and is proud me.

In addition to being wonderful and supportive and loving, my dad is also effin hilarious.  I think he is one of the most fun people to be around.  When I was little my dad used to read to me at night and he would always read using different voices for the different characters.  He is probably the reason I love reading so much.  He made it fun.  He also taught me the names of my toes: Big Toe, Pigmoe, Danditty, Pitty Whitty, Piepoe (no idea how you spell them though).  And he is perhaps most famous for his ability to tell the story of the Three Little Pigs “backwards” (The Pee Thittle Ligs).  My dad is a people person and an entertainer.  He has always kept me laughing.  He is a light in my life and one of the many reasons I have to smile.  So, Happy Father’s Days, Dad!
