New Bedroom Furniture

Well, it finally looks like adults live in our house…in one room anyway.  When we moved into our house (almost three years ago) Mike and I just made do with the furniture we had already accumulated between the two of us.  As such, nothing in our house has matched.  Additionally, I didn’t want to “decorate” because I knew we would eventually be getting new stuff so I didn’t want to waste time and money.  So, we haven’t really had anything up on our walls either.  Our house has looked like your typical college house except the empty beer cans have been replaced with empty wine bottles.  Oops.  Not anymore though!

Mike and I went shopping on black Friday for a new bedroom set.  Our house is a cape with 2 bedrooms upstairs and 2 bedrooms downstairs.  We have been living in the larger bedroom downstairs since we moved in.  We figured when we were ready to buy bedroom furniture we would just have it delivered upstairs and we would “move” up there at that time. Well, after the wedding we were finally able to get the furniture.  We knew we wanted a king size bed set, but Mike was pretty skeptical about whether a king set would fit up the stairs and into the bedroom.  A lot of measuring went on and it was a tight fit, but they made it!  So, here it is, our new bedroom furniture!

We got the furniture from Raymour and Flannigan.  They were extremely easy to work with and there were a ton of options for us to look at.  Even the delivery guys were great and very professional.  Next up…decorating the bedroom and new living room furniture!  Can’t wait!  Do any of you creative people out there have any decorating suggestions?
